If your walls are looking a little bare, why don’t you spice them up? Check out our 7 DIY art ideas. Let’s go!
1. Create a Personal Moodboard
Remember when you used to make collages all the time in school?
When you create a mood board you put together lots of your favorite materials to make a beautiful new object which you’ll enjoy looking at.
Your mood board could represent how you feel about your home, life, relationships, or even a holiday abroad.
It doesn’t need to be made with sticky crafts either. You can learn more about how to make a moodboard digitally here.
2. Print an Inspirational Quote
There could be an inspirational quote which always raises your mood in the mornings. Or, there may be a quote which makes your laugh before bed.
Why don’t you print them off in fancy fonts? You can even attach each page to a clipboard or put them in a frame for a fancy finish.
Then, make sure to place your printed inspirational quote somewhere that it will catch your eye.
3. Paint a Picture on a Blank Canvas
Grab a large blank canvas. Get some bright colors. If you’ve always enjoyed painting, now is your time to create something magnificent!
However, if you’re not a talented painter, you’d be surprised what you can do with just a few simple yet striking blobs of paint.
4. Wine Crate Shelves
Who doesn’t enjoy a glass of wine every now and then? If you enjoy drinking, you probably have a few wine crates lying around your home. Why not make something useful out of them.
Paint them with bright colors to make them stand out. Then, you can attach them to your walls for shelves. Don’t put anything too heavy inside though!
This DIY art project is an interesting talking point for when you invite friends over for a weekend catch up and a glass of wine.
