What to Include in Your Glamping Checklist

By admin / June 9, 2022

Did you know that the glamping market will surpass $3.4 billion in 2022? In fact, it’s estimated to grow over 10% each year!

Think about it: glamping combines the great outdoors with luxury amenities. You’ll get the best of both worlds without compromising too much on comfort.

It should be a no-brainer now that you should experience glamping at least once in your lifetime. But what do you need to pack to make sure it’s a good trip?

Keep reading for the glamping essentials you need to bring.

Bedding

Now, the type of bedding you need to bring will depend on the type of glamping you’re doing, and that can vary even on one site! For example, if you’re glamping near Zion National Park, there are both canvas tents and luxury bungalows.

If you’re glamping somewhere more basic, then you’ll need to bring stuff like sleeping bags, air mattresses, and pillows. Otherwise, in a more luxurious setting, everything will be there for you to sleep on already!

The Right Clothing

While glamping can be luxurious, Mother nature won’t be. You’ll want to pack the right clothing that’ll keep you dry and at a comfortable temperature.

For this reason, we’d recommend packing cotton blends, as well as fleece and wool if it’s cold out. You should also bring waterproof rain jackets and wear moisture-wicking underwear. Depending on the time of year, you should also bring sunglasses, hats, and scarves.

Bring closed-toe shoes; hiking boots are preferable since they have good grip and protect your feet. If you’ll have a chance to go swimming (either as part of the glamping amenities or out in a lake), pack a few bathing suits too!

Don’t pack anything too fancy, as that’s not very appropriate for the setting. Formal clothes can actually be uncomfortable!

Toiletries

Bring your favorite shampoos, conditioners, body washes, toothpastes, and lotions. Even if the glamping accommodations provide these for you, you’ll feel more comfortable using products you’re familiar with.

In addition, you should bring bug repellant, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and wet wipes. These can all keep you feeling fresh while out in nature!

Glamping Gear

You’re sure to go out exploring, so you need to be prepared for anything. On your glamping packing list, you should include:

  • Portable phone charger
  • Flashlight or lantern
  • Knife
  • First aid kit

You should also pack some snacks and water so you stay fueled up and hydrated while out and about.

Don’t Forget These Glamping Essentials

If you pack these glamping essentials, you’re sure to have a fun time.

This is an excellent way to test the waters if you’ve been curious about camping but don’t think you can live without modern amenities. Once you’ve conquered glamping, perhaps you can move on to real camping for a challenge!
