Moving to a new area is a huge life decision and not one which should be taken lightly. Ideally, the neighborhood that you live in will also have easy access to shops, cafes, restaurants and other places that you can go to spend time away from the house and get the items that you need. Safety
Safety is a huge factor when it comes to choosing somewhere to live as you should always feel safe when you are at home. There are certain areas and neighborhoods which are more dangerous than others, and this needs to be considered, particularly if you have kids. Keep in mind that you can use home security technology to enhance security in your home, but there will not be much you can do about the neighborhood.
Children
If you have, or plan on having kids, then you must also think about them when choosing a new area to live. This will include the quality and availability of schools in the local area, the safety of the neighborhood (as above) along with options for keeping them happy and entertained. Ideally, it will be somewhere with green spaces, community events, cultural activities and places for kids to happily and safely spend time with their friends.
